Missouri House Improves Pro-Life Legislation Passed by Senate

The Following Statement is from Steve Rupp, MRL President:

On Tuesday in Special Session, the Missouri House improved and passed Senate Bill 5. The House Committee Substitute for Senate Substitute for Senate Bill 5 not only expands regulations on abortion in multiple statutes, it also improves the tracking of baby body parts from abortion to help prevent the selling and buying of these precious babies for research.

In addition, the House bill language expands the powers of the Attorney General and protects our Pregnancy Resource Centers and faith communities in St. Louis and across the State of Missouri from being forced to participate in abortion.

We are very grateful to the Missouri House leadership, sponsors and members for the passage of this much-improved pro-life bill.

The Pro-life citizens of Missouri encourage the Missouri Senate to be strong in their pro-life convictions and pass HCS SS SB 5.

Missouri Right to Life is the leading pro-life advocacy organization statewide, representing hundreds of thousands of pro-life Missourians. Solid legislation ensuring the right to life is crucial and we look to the Republican controlled super-majorities in the House and Senate to work to save these little innocent human lives and protect women.
