Help to Prevent Public Monies from Funding Human Cloning and Unethical Research!

Dear Pro-Life Missourians,

The upcoming special session, which is set to begin Tuesday, September 6, is being explained by the Governor and Missouri House and Senate leadership as needed to pass legislation that will grow jobs in Missouri.

Missouri Right to Life has looked at draft language of the omnibus economic development legislation, and at this time, the language does not include pro-life protections on the section that includes human life sciences research, known as MOSIRA (Missouri Science Innovation and Reinvestment Act). We are following any amendments or changes to new language as it becomes available.

As you have seen from our action alerts and newsletter, Missouri Right to Life is asking for your help to encourage our Missouri House and Senate members to put pro-life protections on MOSIRA so that Missouri does not use public money for human cloning and embryonic stem cell research.

Please listen to Rep. Nick Marshall (Parkville, MO) and Rep. Melissa Leach (Springfield, MO) discuss the need for pro-life protections on MOSIRA. They are working to get the message out to all pro-life legislators but are meeting resistance from those, even in their own party, that support human cloning and embryonic stem cell research.

Please let us know if you have questions regarding MOSIRA.

Your action is needed to prevent unethical, life destroying research from being funded with public monies. Please call your state representative and state senator and ask them to include the pro-life protective language proposed by Missouri Right to Life in the economic development legislation. Sincerely,
Pam Fichter, President
