Yesterday the Bach Society of St. Louis gave an absolutely beautiful performance at St. Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City, MO for a benefit for our local Our Lady Queen of Peace Center – a pro-life women’s clinic that specializes in using the CREIGHTON MODEL FertilityCare™ System to help women morally and effectively avoid pregnancy as well as identify and effectively treat fertility and other problems. Read testimony from a local woman who started using their services after years of infertility and other failed fertility treatments. Despite the sluggish economy, local residents showed up in droves to support the Pregnancy Resource Center at its Third Annual Banquet for Life on Thursday evening at the Havener Center on the campus of Missouri S&T.
The fundraiser brought in $63,000, or 35-percent more than last year’s banquet, which brought in $42,000, said Joseph X. Dalton, PRC executive director.
“It’s an amazing increase for a fractured economy,” Dalton said. “It has to be a ‘God’ thing.”
Missouri Right to Life is sponsoring its 6th annual golf tournament on Friday, May 1st, 2009 at Eagles’ Landing Golf Course with a 1:00p.m. shotgun start.
Registration begins at noon but come early and check out the new free driving range that opens at 11:00. A great BBQ dinner sponsored by Big Belly BBQ will be served following the tournament.. There is a prize for every hole and a box lunch by Grandma’s Office Catering will be provided when you arrive.
Two free tickets to the Royals/Cardinals game on Friday, June 19th will be given to each golfer at the tournament – see Flyer for more details.

The Pregnancy Resource Center is gearing up for its Third Annual Banquet for Life from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at the Havener Center on the campus of Missouri S&T.
The PRC is a non-profit organization that promotes alternatives to abortion for women facing unplanned or unwanted pregnancies. It sponsors a free clinic that offers counseling, ultrasound and parenting classes.
This year the keynote speaker will be Dr. Ray Guarendi, a clinical psychologist, national radio host, author and the father of 10 adopted children.
According to PRC Executive Director Joseph Dalton the center saw 300 clients in 2008. Most received parenting classes; two babies were adopted.
